Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, and Ngorongoro Crater are three of Tanzania’s most popular national parks. Tarangire National Park is known for its large elephant herds and baobab trees, while Lake Manyara National Park is famous for its tree-climbing lions and diverse birdlife.

Tarangire National Park is located in northern Tanzania. The park is famous for its large elephant herds, which can be seen congregating around the Tarangire River during the dry season. Other wildlife in the park includes lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, and more.

Lake Manyara National Park is located at the base of the Great Rift Valley. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, which can often be seen lounging in the branches of acacia trees. The park is also home to a large population of elephants, as well as hippos, giraffes, zebras, and more than 400 species of birds.

Ngorongoro Crater is a large volcanic crater located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The crater is 20 kilometers wide and is home to a large concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five (lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and buffalos). The crater is also home to Maasai tribes, who have lived in the area for centuries and continue to maintain their traditional way of life.

Detailed Itinerary

Leave at 7:30 am in Arusha and start the journey to the famous Tarangire National Park known for its large number of elephants and baobab trees. Upon arrival, proceed with game drive in the park to spot many animals including big cats, elephants, giraffes, buffalos, antelopes and a number of birds. Break for a picnic lunch and proceed with game drive till late in the evening. Dinner and night stay in a camp or lodge.
Leave at 6:00 am for an early morning drive to explore early killings from the big cats. Return to the camp or lodge at around 9:30 am for breakfast. Checkout of the camp or lodge and proceed with the transfer to Lake Manyara National Park with packed lunch. Dinner and overnight in a camp or lodge.
Have your early morning breakfast served. Leave for a full day game drive in the park. Game viewing to spot elephants, famous tree-climbing lions, giraffes, large flocks of flamingos and many other animals. Proceed to visit the Hot Springs that contain hot mineral water of over 60 degrees Fahrenheit flowing over the rocks. Break for lunch and advance with an afternoon game drive till evening. Transfer to your camp or lodge for dinner and night stay.
After breakfast, checkout of the camp or lodge and start exiting Manyara National Park, heading towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive in time for lunch and transfer to the campsite or lodge for dinner night stay.

After breakfast start descending down the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest unbroken caldera which is a home to a variety of animals and bird species. Game drive in the crater to spot Big Five, elands, buffalos, jackals and thousands of flamingos. Ascend out of the crater to have lunch at a picnic site. Drive back to Arusha for drop off at your city hotel or airport to catch your flight back home.
