Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area are three of the most popular safari destinations in Tanzania, East Africa. Tarangire National Park is known for its large elephant herds, while the Serengeti is famous for the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebras cross its plains. Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to the Ngorongoro Crater, a breathtaking natural wonder and one of the best places to see the Big Five (lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and Cape buffalo) in Tanzania. With their diverse wildlife and stunning landscapes, Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro offer unforgettable experiences for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.

Detailed Itinerary

Leave Arusha by 7:00 am and head to Tarangire National Park famously known for its large herds of elephants and baobab trees. Arrive at around 9:00 am in the park and start exploring the wilderness. Pass across Tarangire river to spot giraffes and zebras drinking water. Game view to spot big cats, wildebeests, antelopes and a variety of bird species including the Masai Ostrich (the world’s largest bird). Break for lunch at one of the amazing picnic sites and proceed with your game drive till evening. Dinner and overnight in a camp or lodge.
Leave at 6:00 am for an early morning game drive to explore early killings from the big cats. Return to the camp or lodge at around 9:30 am for breakfast. Checkout of the camp or lodge and proceed with the transfer to Serengeti National Park with packed lunch to arrive in the evening. Dinner and night stay in a camp or lodge.
After breakfast leave for a full day game drive in the Central Serengeti. Game view to spot big cats, wildebeests, elephants, giraffes, elands, antelopes and others. If lucky, you may be able to spot a rhino. Break for lunch and proceed with your game drive till evening. Drive back to the camp or lodge for dinner and night stay.

Have your early morning breakfast served. Leave for a full day game drive to witness “The Great Migration” where thousands of wildebeests, zebras and Thomson’s gazelles migrate to Maasai Mara in search for fresh pasture and water. Explore the plains while tracking the migration with predators like lions awaiting. Break for a picnic lunch and proceed with game drive till late afternoon. Drive back to the camp or similar for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast leave for Olduvai Gorge Museum, an anthropological site holding remains for the first human. Have lunch enroute and proceed with the drive to Ngorongoro to arrive in the evening. Dinner and overnight at the camp or hotel.
After having your breakfast, start descending down the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest unbroken caldera which is a home to a variety of animals and bird species. Game drive in the crater to spot Big Five, elands, buffalos, jackals and thousands of flamingos. Break for lunch at a picnic site and proceed with game drive till evening. Ascend out of the crater and return to the campsite or similar for dinner and overnight.
Have your early morning breakfast served. Checkout the hotel with packed lunch and drive to Empakai Crater. Take a walk along the alkaline lake filled with a large number of flamingos. Break for lunch and drive back to Arusha for drop off at your city hotel or airport.
