Detailed Itinerary
Pick up in the morning and drive to Aberdare National Park, arriving in time for lunch for check in and lunch break. Afternoon transfer to the tree lodge in their special vehicles. Treetops Lodge is a stunning lodge located in the heart of the Aberdare National Park in Kenya. The lodge is situated high above the ground, giving guests the chance to experience the true beauty of the African wilderness from a unique perspective.
Proceed for afternoon game viewing from the lodge. Dinner and overnight game viewing from the tree lodge or similar.
Have your early morning breakfast served at the lodge. Check out and drive via the equator to Samburu National Reserve, arriving in time for lunch. Samburu Game Reserve is a top safari destination located in northern Kenya, known for its unique wildlife and breathtaking landscapes. It is home to various rare and endangered species, including the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, and Beisa oryx.

After your morning breakfast, proceed for a full day game drive exploring Samburu Game Reserve. Some of the wildlife species found in Samburu Game Reserve include the “Samburu Special Five,” which consists of the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, beisa oryx, and gerenuk antelope. Other wildlife species found in the reserve include elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffalos, hyenas, wild dogs, and various species of primates and birds.
Samburu Game Reserve is also home to several rivers, including the Ewaso Ng’iro River, which provides a source of water for the wildlife in the area. The reserve is surrounded by several communities, including the Samburu, Rendille, and Borana tribes, who have a rich cultural heritage and play a vital role in the conservation of the reserve. After breakfast, depart Samburu for Lake Nakuru National Park. The park’s most distinctive features is its namesake lake, which is famous for its large population of bright pink flamingos. These flamingos are a major attraction for visitors and a popular subject for photographers, making Lake Nakuru a top destination for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers.
Aside from the flamingos, the park is also home to a diverse array of wildlife, including lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalos, and giraffes. Visitors can explore the park on foot, by car, or even on horseback, with a range of guided tours and activities available. In addition to its wildlife, Lake Nakuru National Park is also renowned for its stunning landscapes, including rolling hills, acacia forests, and scenic views of the surrounding valley.

After an early breakfast, set off for the highlight of your trip, the world’s famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. Enjoy a game drive en-route to your camp or lodge where you might encounter some of the “Big Five” that is Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino and Leopard. You will most certainly be impressed by the wide variety of species present in this area. The Masai Mara has the highest concentration of land mammals compared to all other parks!

Spend the day in Masai Mara, Kenya’s most popular game reserve where you will see lions, leopards, elephants, rhinoceroses, and Cape buffalos. It is also a bird-watching paradise, with over 450 species of birds recorded in the reserve. Some of the notable species include ostriches, vultures, eagles, and storks.
Game drives are flexible, with the option of going out with picnic lunch boxes to spend an entire day in the park or having early morning and late afternoon game drives. You will also have the option of visiting a local Masai village (at the cost of 20 USD per person). Dinner and overnight in the camp/lodge.
