Meet the Samburu Special Five: Unlike any other place on Earth, Samburu is renowned for its unique “Special Five.” These rare and captivating animals include the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and the long-necked gerenuk. Each one is a testament to nature’s ingenuity and Samburu’s remarkable biodiversity.
Detailed Itinerary
You will be picked from your Nairobi Hotel for a transfer to the airport for a flight to Samburu. Upon arrival in Samburu, our driver will meet you and transfer you to the lodge/camp for lunch with a game drive en route. Afternoon game drive is at 4p.m. Dinner and night stay at a camp/lodge.
The day begins with a sunrise game drive, where you’ll witness the animal kingdom come to life. Samburu is renowned for its rare and elusive wildlife, including the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, and Somali ostrich. Your knowledgeable guide will help you spot these unique species, ensuring you capture the perfect photographs. Dinner and overnight at your camp/lodge.
Have breakfast then later be transferred to the airstrip for flight to Nairobi. You will arrive at around 1p.m. and have lunch at Carnivore Restaurant. Later be transferred to your hotel or airport.
